What do you do about holidays?
Our scheduled Holidays are: New Years’ Day, M.L. King Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. If your pick up day falls on or after a holiday during the business week, your service will be one day later than scheduled. If the Holiday Falls on Saturday or Sunday, service will not be affected.

What areas you service?
Palmetto Waste services most of the Upstate. If you are interested in our service please contact our office to be sure we service your location.

What time is pick-up?
Trucks start running routes as early as 4 a.m. It is your responsibility to make sure your cart is out for collection when the truck comes by. For this reason we ask that all customers put their cart out for pick up the night before your service day to ensure that you receive service.
How do you bill?
All residential trash accounts are billed quarterly (every 3 months), and are billed in advance.

All invoices are due upon receipt. We accept cash, checks, money orders, credit card and debit card. Invoices are mailed or emailed to each customer one month in advance of the due date. Service will be suspended after accounts are 30 days past due and a $15.00 late fee added to the account.

What can I put in my trash for pick-up?
We do not pick up oil, paint, tires, batteries, propane tanks, pressurized tanks, or hazardous material due to the fact these items are not accepted at the landfill.
What about yard waste?
Yes, Palmetto Waste Services offers yard waste collection to our customers. We can only pick up to 2 bags per week due to route capacity.  All yard waste must be securely bagged and limbs must be bundled. Limbs must be cut into 24-inch lengths and have 2-inch or smaller diameter. Bundles must not exceed 35 pounds. Palmetto Waste Services is not responsible for busted bags or the mess they make, so please do not over load your yard waste bags.

Can you pick up appliances or furniture?
Yes, Palmetto Waste Services also offers large item collection to its customers (washers, dryers, couches, etc.) however this cannot be done on route and requires a special trip to be picked up, so please call the office if you need to schedule a pickup. The minimum charge for any large item collection in $75.00.

What if my trash doesn't fit in the cart?
Palmetto Waste Services bases its prices on the amount of waste that will fit into a 96-gallon trash cart and will not pick up extra waste not in your container. Please, do not over load your cart (250 lb. maximum) as this will result in damage to cart.***Effective 4/20/20: We will only pick up 2 bags/boxes outside of the cart. Larger items will need to be scheduled for special pick up. This is in response to the overwhelming amount of trash outside of the carts. This will include yard waste. If you would like to add an additional cart we charge $27 per quarter.   If you have additional trash on a regular basis and would like to have it picked up please call the office to make arrangements to receive an additional cart(s).
What do I do if my trash cart is broken?
Please contact the office if you cart is broken and needs repair. As long as your cart is not damaged from personal neglect, and your cart fails or breaks due to normal wear and tear there is no charge for any repair or replacement if it cannot be repaired.

My trash cart is dirty and stinks!
You are supplied with a clean trash cart when you start with our service and it is your responsibility to maintain its cleanliness. When your service is terminated please return your cart in the same condition you received it.
